I’m visiting San Francisco next month so I thought I’d watch every movie I could think of set in the city before my trip, starting with the 1979 Clint Eastwood thriller, ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ.
The incredibly striking poster for the film was created by the legendary BILL GOLD, a living god of movie poster design. Seriously, TAKE A LOOK at just a few of the posters he’s worked on.
Casablanca, Dial M for Murder, A Clockwork Orange, The Exorcist, Cool Hand Luke, Bullit, Dirty Harry, Dog Day Afternoon…It’s mind-blowing how many iconic images were designed by one man (He is especially adept at portraying Clint at his full level of true badassery if you notice the number of Eastwood film posters he’s done.)
